Texcell SA is a private company that provides viral safety and immunology services.
In 1987, as a service laboratory within the Pasteur Institute in Paris, Texcell started to evaluate the biosafety of biotech products: recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, medical devices and other products of human or animal origin (such as blood-derived products, heparin, hyaluronic acid and collagen).
In 1995, following improvements in gene therapy products, Texcell increased the range of tests offered and started biodistribution studies with patient monitoring.
In 2003, Texcell reinforced its patient follow-up studies by providing a new service - the ImmunoProfiling Lab - and Texcell SA, a Pasteur Institute spin-off, was founded.
In 2005, Texcell SA moved into new facilities in Evry Genopole, 30km south of Paris.
