Preclinical and clinical phase I, II, III or IV studies generally check different parameters of drugs.
The use of vectors for gene therapy requires an evaluation of the biodistribution of viruses in the body.
Texcell has developed accurate protocols to detect vectors or specific gene sequences in different samples: blood, urine, nasopharyngeal swabs, faeces and organs (lung, liver, heart, muscle etc.).
Texcell uses highly sensitive and specific methods to extract DNA from these samples. After extraction, specific vector and/or transgene DNA sequences are detected by using real-time quantitative PCR (RTQ-PCR).
